Why Add a Camera Hood?

At night, stray light reaching the backup-camera lens can create glare or a washed-out appearance in the camera image.

The YURIK camera hood extends around the lens to help block some of this unwanted light before it reaches the camera.

The result is less glare and a cleaner image in situations where stray light would otherwise affect the camera view.

The hood also provides some shelter from rain and road contamination, helping reduce how much reaches the camera lens.

Installation

1. No drilling or permanent vehicle modification is required.
2. Thoroughly clean and dry the mounting area around the backup camera.
3. Test-fit the hood and confirm its correct position before removing the adhesive backing.
4. Remove the backing from the 3M double-sided adhesive.
5. Carefully position the hood around the camera.
6. Press firmly into place to establish a secure adhesive bond.
7. Check the backup-camera image and confirm that the hood does not obstruct the camera's intended field of view.

For best adhesion, install on a clean, dry surface.

Important Information

Install the hood only around a compatible factory backup camera and confirm the correct fit before use.

After installation, verify that the complete backup-camera image remains visible and that the hood does not obstruct the camera's intended field of view.

Do not use the product if it is cracked, damaged, deformed or no longer securely attached.

This accessory may help reduce glare and contamination reaching the camera lens, but it does not eliminate the need to keep the camera lens clean. Always visually check your surroundings when reversing and use the vehicle's camera and parking-assistance systems as supplementary aids.
